Hi, this is SOHMI 🦋
I’m a Korean American artist and DJ based in Los Angeles.
I started my career and life over in 2018 when I decided to learn how to produce electronic dance music and mix behind a pair of decks.
By 2022, I was touring all over the country. I got to support some of the biggest DJs in the world (Kaskade, Rüfüs Du Sol, many more), played Coachella back to back years (2022 and 2023), and started my own record label.
By 2025, I was completely burnt out and needed to step away to find my center of artistic truth again.
In that quiet, I began to hear a kind of soul-calling to create PERMISSION WRLD. It’s a place that has always existed, but previously only deep within my imagination. Now, I’m beginning to give that world a life beyond my imagination too.
I welcome anyone who is in search of a way back home to themselves.
For something deeper, slower, and more truthful.
I welcome all the dreamers and lovers of sensual, transformative house & techno who seek that elusive space best described as the border between reality and magic.
That is what I hope we can build together, in PERMISSION WRLD.
